Playmat Studio is a free, browser-based image preparation tool. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights under applicable privacy law including the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA (California).
We collect no personal information and require no account, registration, or login. The following data may be processed during normal use:
All core image-processing tasks — resizing, cropping, color correction, format conversion, overlay rendering, and export — run entirely within your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and the Fabric.js library. Your artwork is never uploaded to any server during these operations.
Two features optionally transmit image data to a serverless cloud environment:
These transmissions occur only when you explicitly initiate the feature by clicking the corresponding button and confirming the prompt. Image data sent to these functions is processed transiently and is not stored, logged, or retained after the response is returned to your browser. No metadata identifying you is attached to these requests.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, analytics scripts, or any third-party tracking technology. The site uses only browser local storage as described above.
All libraries used (Fabric.js and others) are loaded and executed locally. The site does not embed third-party widgets, social buttons, or advertising networks that could independently collect your data.
We hold no persistent user data on our servers. Local storage data (upload history) is retained in your own browser until you clear it via the “Clear History” button or your browser settings. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of any personal data we hold about you (limited to contact form submissions). To exercise these rights, contact us via the contact form on this site. We will respond within 30 days.
We do not sell, share, or disclose personal information to third parties for commercial purposes. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion. Because we collect only contact form submissions and retain them for the limited purpose of responding to you, there is nothing to “sell” and deletion requests are honoured upon request.
This site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information via the contact form, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in technology or law. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
For privacy-related questions or to exercise your rights, use the contact form on this site.
